Teeth Whitening (Teeth Bleaching)
Teeth whitening, also referred to as bleaching is the process of lightening the color of your teeth by removing the stains and discoloration without damaging your tooth structure.
Things to Consider After Teeth Whitening
- After the treatment, a small amount of sensitivity may be observed and this is temporary. The sensitivity will disappear within 1-2 days and painkillers can be used if necessary. Avoid excessively hot and cold beverages for the first two days.
- Especially on the first day, all kinds of colouring foods and beverages such as cigarettes, tea, coffee, soda, turnip, red, wine, cherry, tomato paste and such should be avoided.
- After the procedure, the patient can continue their routine brushing and flossing.
- The effect of whitening can be seen for a long time in the patient who does not consume cigarette, tea or coffee. Patients who do not act accordingly may have negative returns. In case of a regression, whitening can be performed again.
