A local anesthetic cream is applied to the injection area approximately 20 minutes before the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Then the application area is cleaned and Botox is injected in small doses into the muscles in the area using fine needles. The process takes an average of 15 minutes. Botox injected into the muscle tissue begins to show its effect after an average of 24 to 72 hours.
